Wii!!
So I decided to pop my gamer cherry and get on a line to preorder a Nintendo Wii. If I were a virgin I’d be a total loser right now but since I’m so hot I figure I can afford to allot some geek points.
So I went with Clau (who was doing my brother a favor by ordering one for him - 1/person limit, etc.). We got to the Gamestop in Carle Place at 8:15 and there were already 3 people. The first in line was this guy Angel from NCC. From what I gathered he’s a communications engineer. Like a tech guy, who can build shit and knows about electronics. We spent the two hours in the cold telling jokes and conversing about that kinda shit. It was nice. I offered him Munchkins. He politely declined. Awesome!
By the time I left there was a line of almost fifty people. I’d say the average age of the people on line was about 35. There was even a guy who was definitely eligible for Medicaid.
So long story short I was fourth in line and on Nov. 19 will be sitting pretty with a Wii, an extra controller (+ nunchaku!) and a copy of the new Zelda. But Nov. 20 I have my second Quantum Exam. Fuck. Oh well.
Also, I thought this was pretty sweet: http://www.heroda.com/AlbumLeaf-Web-Final.mov
I’m contemplating doing a weekly poem thing. Maybe some of my favorites. Maybe my own? Meh. We’ll see.
